In a touching two-hour graduation ceremony, 261 clients of CeC Malvar received their Certificates of Completion from Malvar Municipal Mayor Carlito de la Peña Reyes.
Composed mainly of elementary pupils from the different schools within Malvar under the wings of the DepEd Malvar District, the graduates completed the FREE BASIC COMPUTER LITERACY TRAINING at the four stationary CeC and one Mobile CeC. The rest of the graduates were ALS students.
Dr. Leoplodo Landicho, Dep Ed Malvar District Supervisor , delivered a short message extolling the virtues of having a CeC partner in the process of educating the youth. He said that he believes that in the entire Philippines, it is only in Malvar where this kind of partnership exist. Dr. Landicho is joined by the Teachers In-Charge and other teachers of the schools where the graduating pupils came from.
Mayor CP Reyes, for his part, was overjoyed to see the big number of graduates who availed of the free training which is under the 5K – Karunungan Program of the Municipality. “I am delighted about these happy turn of events. I did not know that the CeC will help a lot of people when we opened it on October 7, 2010,” Mayor Reyes said as he recounted how the CeC started in Malvar.
It was another warm and wonderful day for every one present, especially the CeC Knowledge workers and the CeC Manager as they facilitated and watched the graduation ceremony unfold before their eyes.
