September 22, 2025: Mayor Admiral Art Abu attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the construction of a new Holiday Inn & Suites Batangas LIMAPARK Building at the LIMA Commercial Estate, together with Mr. Saturnino “Bong” Belen, Executive Chairman of Holiday Inn; Lionel Victor L. Belen, Executive Vice President; Edilberto P. Evangelista, Managing Director; Marites Castro, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism Region IV-A; and Rafael Fernandez de Mesa, President and CEO of Aboitiz Land, Inc.
The said project is an 8-storey hotel extension, which reflects both vibrant tourism activities and positive economic opportunities for the town of Malvar.
