One hundred ninety two (192) elementary school pupils and Alternative Learning System Students received their Certificates of Completion from the Community eCenters, Malvar. In full coordination with the DepEd Malvar District, and under its 5K- Karunungan Program, CeC Malvar conducted basic digital literacy classes using INTEL Easy steps, in its 5 CeCs – CeC Main at Barangay San Pioquinto, Barangay CeC at Barangay Poblacion, Barangay CeC at Barangay San Isidro, Barangay CeC at Barangay San Fernando and CeC On Wheels. Mayor Carlito de la Peña Reyes, Malvar’s ICT Champion, expressed his delight upon seeing the graduates and handing them their certificates. He said that the municipality has spent a small amount on ICT compared to the knowledge and skills gained by his constituents who enrolled at the Malvar CeCs. Joining Mayor Reyes at the graduation ceremonies were DepEd Malvar District Supervisor Dr. Leopoldo Landicho, Liga ng mga Barangay President Federico Basilan, DepEd Malvar District ICT Coordinator Niel Tiquio, U & I Club President’s representative Voltaire Kalaw, School Principals and School ICT coordinators and CeC Manager Baby Balbuena.
